Export GMC Canyon Car Prices in Dubai

Price
GMC Canyon (White), 2018 AED 60,000
GMC Canyon AT4X (Red), 2025 AED 189,000

We hold two GMC Canyons and they have almost nothing in common. One is a working mid-size pickup with several years behind it. The other is a recent AT4X, which is the most heavily engineered version GMC builds, with a specialist off-road setup and a price to match. Seven years separate them. On a list of two vehicles, that is not a range of choices, it is two entirely different purchases sharing a model name, and treating them as interchangeable is the fastest way to buy the wrong one.

Vehicle specifications

The Canyon is GMC's mid-size pickup, built on a ladder frame with a crew cab, four-wheel drive and a 2.7-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine in the current generation. Mid-size here means smaller than a Sierra but still a proper truck, with a usable bed and real towing ability, and it is the more manageable choice for anyone who does not need full-size dimensions. The AT4X sits at the top of the range with a different suspension setup, locking differentials, protective underbody plating and specific tyres, and it is a genuinely more capable vehicle rather than a trim package. Gulf specification means the cooling was built for this climate, which on a turbocharged engine that will be asked to pull weight in heat is worth confirming.

Two things to establish immediately. The specification level, because AT4X against a standard Canyon is a large difference in both capability and value. And the date of manufacture, since our two cars sit years apart and the age rule at your destination may accept one and refuse the other.

GMC Canyon Export Dubai: logistics and buying process

OneClickDrive connects you straight to the seller, with no agent in between and no commission added. Use the filters on our listings to narrow by specification and model year, then call, WhatsApp or ask for a callback from Dubai's GMC Canyon export dealers. To buy a GMC Canyon for export from Dubai, decide which of these two vehicles you actually want before you discuss price, because the answer changes the conversation entirely.

On the older truck, the inspection is about work. Ask what it has carried and whether it has towed, look at the bed for scuffing and dents, and check for the mounting points a tow hitch leaves behind after the hardware is removed. Ask for transmission, differential and cooling system service history, since those are what a working life consumes. On the AT4X, the questions change: ask whether the off-road hardware has actually been used off road, check the underbody plating and suspension components rather than the paintwork, and ask about tyre wear, since the specific tyres fitted to that version are expensive to replace. On both, confirm accident history and that fines and Salik are clear.

Freight is at the higher end but below a full-size pickup, which is one of the practical arguments for a mid-size truck. It ships on RoRo without special handling.

The sequence from there is fixed. Specification and model year chosen, colour, cab and equipment confirmed, a written quotation covering freight and paperwork, the booking secured through a verified payment option, then delivery by sea or overland. Inspection, export documentation and customs clearance are handled for you.

Export process and requirements

Some of this stock has never been registered in the UAE. Those vehicles carry no Mulkiya and need no de-registration: the dealer's purchase invoice holds ownership alongside a Certificate of Origin, the Dubai Customs export declaration, a VCC for GCC destinations, and the Bill of Lading. Completed and documented in time, the export is usually zero-rated for VAT.

Where a vehicle has been on UAE plates, fines, Salik and any finance are settled first, with a bank No-Objection Certificate wherever it was financed. The RTA then de-registers it, issuing temporary export plates and the Export Certificate, which cancels the local registration and takes the place of the Mulkiya. The declaration goes to Dubai Customs, and a GCC destination still needs a VCC.

There is a trap in the engine specification that is worth naming, because it catches people who reason from cylinder count. A 2.7-litre turbocharged four-cylinder sounds modest next to a V8, and buyers assume it will attract a lower rate on that basis. It will not: 2.7 litres is well above the small-capacity thresholds that markets use, so this sits in an upper band despite having four cylinders. The number that matters is displacement, not cylinder count, and it should be written on the invoice as a figure so nobody argues either way. On top of that sits the pickup question: many countries classify pickups separately from passenger cars, sometimes at a better rate as working vehicles and often at a worse one as commercial ones, so establish which side your destination puts a mid-size crew-cab truck on before committing. Age varies across our two cars, one comfortably recent and one considerably older, so check the specific vehicle rather than the model.

Available export models and pricing

The GMC Canyon export price in Dubai is decided by specification and age, and with two very different vehicles in stock the spread is wide rather than graduated. Our listings hold the current figures as stock moves. The cheapest GMC Canyon export from Dubai is the older working truck, and the recent AT4X sits far above it, effectively in a different market. Which represents better value depends entirely on the buyer at the far end: a contractor wants the working truck and will not pay for locking differentials, while a private buyer in a market that values off-road capability will pay a clear premium for the AT4X and nothing extra for a tidy standard truck. Decide which buyer you have before you decide which Canyon to ship. To export GMC Canyon Dubai stock in more than these two units, expect a wait.

Required export documentation

For a vehicle that has never been registered, the dealer's purchase invoice takes the place of the Mulkiya and travels with a Certificate of Origin.

For one registered in the UAE, you need the original registration card, which is the Mulkiya, the RTA Export Certificate, temporary export plates, a bank NOC if there was finance, proof that fines and Salik are cleared, and about 14 days of insurance on the export plates.

Both routes need your passport or Emirates ID, the seller's ID on a used transfer, a sale invoice showing price and VIN, the Dubai Customs export declaration, a VCC for GCC destinations, and the Bill of Lading. Three things to get right on this truck. The engine capacity in figures rather than cylinder count, because a description mentioning a four-cylinder engine without the displacement suggests a smaller vehicle than this is and creates a correction later. The body type described as a pickup with the cab configuration named, since classification usually follows that description. And the specification named in full, because AT4X carries substantial value that a document saying only Canyon does not convey. Keep originals with your copies, and check the drive-side rule and whether a Certificate of Conformity is required.

Key locations and hubs

Popular export destinations for the GMC Canyon

Mid-size pickups occupy a useful middle ground: cheaper to run and to land than a full-size truck, and more capable than any crossover, which suits markets where a vehicle has to work without a fleet budget behind it. Within the GCC, Saudi Arabia is the largest destination, reached overland through Al Ghuwaifat with a VCC required, with Oman and Iraq behind it, and American trucks are well understood across the region. In Africa the buyers are contractors, agricultural businesses and site operators, mainly in Nigeria, Angola, Gabon and the DR Congo, and there the pickup classification question is worth settling in advance because it moves the landed cost more than the specification does. Kenya and Uganda require right-hand drive and cannot take our left-hand drive stock. The AT4X is a narrower proposition and belongs in a market where somebody will pay for what it can do, which in practice means the GCC or a private buyer elsewhere.

Whichever the destination, the dealer can match the truck, the specification and the paperwork to it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does OneClickDrive handle the export?

No. OneClickDrive is a marketplace that connects you directly with the seller. The seller, or a freight forwarder they work with, arranges the export, shipping and paperwork. You deal with them directly, with no commission added.

What is an AT4X?

The most heavily engineered version GMC builds, with a specific suspension setup, locking differentials, protective underbody plating and specialist tyres. It is a genuinely more capable vehicle rather than a trim package, and it is priced accordingly. Name it in full on the paperwork, because a document saying only Canyon does not convey that value.

Does the four-cylinder engine mean lower duty?

No, and this is the assumption that catches people. The number that matters is displacement, not cylinder count. At 2.7 litres this engine is well above the small-capacity thresholds markets use, so it sits in an upper band despite having four cylinders. Have the capacity written on the invoice as a figure.

How is a pickup classified?

Separately from a passenger car in many countries, sometimes at a better rate as a working vehicle and often at a worse one as a commercial vehicle. It is worth settling before you commit rather than after. Describe the body type as a pickup with the cab configuration named, since classification usually follows that description.

Which of the two should I buy?

Decide who your buyer is first. A contractor wants the older working truck and will not pay for locking differentials. A private buyer in a market that values off-road capability will pay a clear premium for the AT4X and nothing extra for a tidy standard truck. These are two different purchases that happen to share a model name, and seven years separate them.

How do I export a GMC Canyon from Dubai?

Unregistered stock moves on the dealer's purchase invoice with a Certificate of Origin. A vehicle that has been on UAE plates needs fines, Salik and any finance cleared, then RTA de-registration, the Export Certificate and temporary export plates. Both routes need the Dubai Customs export declaration, a Vehicle Clearance Certificate for GCC destinations and the Bill of Lading. Check the age rule against the specific truck, since our two cars sit years apart.
